I once bought some Truvia to make sweet tea with. That stuff was so good and sugar-like that I ate two or three packets full while I made a gallon of tea.

Lets just say, thank god I was at home when the first rumblings of foreshock hit. I thought, "Maybe I better go visit the can."

Nope, there was maybe a second and a half between that thought, and Mount St. Helens blowing the top of the mountain off. Underwear, socks, shoes, pants... everything had to be burned.

I can remember going to college in 1978 in Pasadena California and the morning low was 25F. The locals all had parkas on. I was strutting around in a flannel shirt. By noon time I had rolled up my sleeves.

Remember this. Sure did mess things up. Traffic was at a stand still in places. It was not uncommon to get some snow in the hills around the Bay Area. Never lasted more than a day or two.

Take Five, by Dave Brubeck, was the first and only popular song written in 5/4 time. This is a cover by an orchestra in Pakistan. Dave Brubeck saw this not long before he died and absolutely loved it.

    Excellent post...thank you.
The subject of wizz bottles makes me a little crazy.

My 68 yr old prostate izzzzZZZZ.... and yes I have to be careful but.... I too tend to drink a lot of coffee and ginger ale. There's always one or the other in the cup holder.

From the first time (way back when) I saw a jug dumped on the ground (right in front of me) by a disgusting looking driver in a truck stop, I have hated wizz bottles. Through my years, I have seen them left on the ground in the truck stop, on the side of the road, next to but not in dumpsters, on the steps at loading docks, and once, saw one roll off the back of a flat bed trailer as it turned at a intersection -- plop-break-splash! <---- guessing that's what it was?

I have never used one but, there have been times I wished I had one. Lately though, as I continue in the battle of prostate pulling to the shoulder of the road to "kick the tires" I'm thinking that I may have to change my wizzling way. If and when I do, it will be grudgingly but I'm sure it will be warmer and safer in the winter. Winter wizzing is the worst.
