You can easily gross $4000 in a two week pay period. Don't think you can hit five though.

I am considered a new driver still, being with Walmart 4.5 months. So perhaps my thoughts may be more note worthy.
You are indeed your own paycheck. I know a lot of older drivers that will work until they hit their $$ mark per day whatever it may be. The term Walmart uses is ADP (avg daily pay). In fact it's built into your paycheck over the course of some weeks Walmart will state the avg and that is what you will be paid should you take a PTO day. So naturally drivers adopted that for their own expectations of how much they should or want to make... So with that in mind I started grossing for nearly 2 months 2400-2700 every 2 weeks. After that I had a routine down on what to carry with me all times. After 2 months I had been to nearly 100 stores and was quickly picking up on the routes and locations.. (being Walmarts are everywhere you need to be more cautious of truck restrictions and weight limits). Also it is about 2 months to get the flow of traffic so you can input your time better into the truck computer since that is how you are dispatched... By the times you enter. As well as getting the "flow" of the truck computer system in general on what messages to send and whatever order suits (part of the routine). So after 2 months I gross between 3400-3700 every 2 weeks now. I don't see it being much higher than that. Loads are random on where they send you, though in some instances you can accurately guess where you will go to next, but that doesn't matter as 90% of the time you will get a message en route of your current destination as to where to go next.
For me to make that, I do work 15 hour days, 5 days on, 2 days off. Most drivers don't work that therefore don't make that kind of money. I have seen other drivers at the computer and they do not make the ADP I do and they have been here for 5+ years. But again that may be by choice, but it may be due to the recent changes in the system since it's fleet wide I have noticed most drivers are not happy with it since you as a driver are now in charge of your paycheck and confirming your drops and hooks and live loads, etc to make sure they are accurate, but it's all online and can do it at the office or your phone or at home, just make sure you do it before the pay period ends.... With all that said, working for Walmart is not for everyone... In my hire class for my DC alone there were 12 of us... Only 4 of us remain and that was as of 2 months. I don't know who remains now. I can tell you it's not the people at the DC because they are all nice and respectful (which is something else to consider, I have been to some DC where they are not friendly.) I dont take stock in rumors, but it's said all but 1 quit of their own choosing, but don't know the circumstances of that choice. And finally... Walmart is indeed and literally just another trucking company, you are just another number to them to fill a seat. Walmart is a better payer than most others and they are by far the most efficient in regards to keeping a driver moving.... I have not eaten in 2 days because I been so busy I forgot to stop and get food. Again once you get a hang of their truck computer, 99% of the time you will have a next destination while en route to your current destination.... If you are not against a dock within 2 hours at a 3rd party, Walmart will tell you to leave and put you on something else and you get paid for the detention of that sitting.... But they like most other companies have a high turnover rate as previously mentioned... So I would not stay with Walmart except it meets my requirements... Home more and better pay. So being trucking in general you have to work 15 hours a day usually, I get paid more than my old job and I'm home for 2 days a week.

Don’t let him scare you off lol.

I’ve been here just the same amount of time 4.5 months, and I have yet to work a 15 hr day. Usually 58-62 hrs a week and I make great money. Typically 4.5 days on the road and 2.5 at home. Works for me. $3700/$3800 are common paychecks every two weeks...

Lot of rules yes, but it’s all in the name of safety...some good, some dumb, but it’s like every other trucking company out there trying to keep drivers safe. For what I make, I’ll gladly deal with their way of doing things.
