Ya mine the same. Did the update yesterday then did a D/R and found no problems, checked the unit and all dates and times were good, turned it off.Checked today and all times and dates were screwed again, did a D/R and found 28 files, repaired them but didn't correct the time and dates. How the hell can 28 files get corrupted by just turning it off and on again.
So,what gives with this junk.I guess RM wants us to buy new models.(Fat chance on that happening)
The only reason I stayed with RM was because of Mark, now that he is gone so am I.RM shot themselves in the foot by not keeping him on,he is the only one that could keep the older units working properly.

I was going to sell my TND80 so I reset it to Factory specs and now I can't plan a route. Everytime I hit Begin New Route this window comes up. I never seen it before. Has anyone got any clue about this.[IMG]

change to light truck mode to see if you can have a route?

the reset may put your truck (home) to (0,0) location, which cannot have a route to US.

cannot recall the last update that was available? seems at least 6 months?

seems as if they are no longer offering any support for non-android units.

    what say you?

Well, here's my latest. Initially, the tnd80 I purchased worked fine until I got stuck on the loading screen. Someone here mentioned getting it flashed. It had been out of warranty for a couple years and the OP told me that if I got the right tech on the phone, they could walk me through it. So I contacted them. Explained since it was out of warranty, I didn't want to pay to get it flashed, could someone give the details on how to do it myself. If i made it worse, no skin off their nose. They refused stating the flashing was proprietary and they couldn't tell me how to do it. I told them i wasn't about to pay 100$ i would simply find a different brand. They actually agreed to issue an RMA and fix it no charge. So i an thinking great. I send it in, a few weeks later they send a different tnd80 with a letter apologizing for permanently bricking mine(go figure). So i thought ok i have a tnd80 again lets go. This one, while it powered on and went to the map screen, took forever to lock onto a signal. Then, while driving it would show me either running 0mph or triple digits. Additionally it would show me on the opposite side of the highway on a feeder road (or field) but the best one was the truck running diagonally away from the road I was on. Contacted them and they started a spiel about EMI's and how something in my truck was causing this. Same truck that I had the original tnd80 in, nothing like that. So I took the whole thing, base and all, put into my 1996 Chevrolet S10. Same thing. Then they said it was just this particular model this was happening with, don't know how it started or what a fix was. In the interim while sleuthing around the net, I had a couple other drivers with this model, same issues who stated(don't know how accurate this is) that when rand put out their latest update, it somehow made the tnd80 model like that cousin nobody talks about, you know the one who lives in a home upstate. Needless to say, I am going to stick with my 2018 atlas, and Google to get a general idea of direction, then use the atlas for routing. Worst $500 paperweight ever.

    we'll see if it holds.

Guys, calling the tech support number gets nowhere. I know it isn't very nice to do, but once sure fire way I have found to get someone from support to answer you is go on their Facebook page. They have it set up you make a post but it doesn't appear on the page, so just go through their posts and vent there. Copy and paste your gripe into several of their posts(usually promoting one of their products) I have had great luck within hours of posting I get the messenger "ding" and lo and behold I have a Facebook message from Rand McNally
    asking what my issue is.
