People have something on their record get offered something then take it till things get cleared up instead of getting 0 & whining.

Well the good news is I am finding more companies that will work with me. Of course I am not going to be able to find my ideal job with the given circumstance, but I will find something that can get my by the next few years until that becomes to old to matter.

so far not that I have made a choice on one of these yet, companies willing to overlook vehicle abandonment on your DAC

    PTL
    Western Express
Crete Carrier- because it wasn't in the last 3 years
Hogan- also because it wasn't recent

I have probably 30 more companies to touch base with that I have applied, I will update further as it goes

    Lepton1 and Chinatown Thank this.

Of course if that is all I can find I will take it. But Im also not so desperate to accept the first offer I get. But you hit the nail on the head, I will weed through applications and narrow down a list of possibilities and take what I can get until my situation changes.

Few questions. You are experienced so why are you looking at companies that even use dac (megas) and why are you looking at megas? I know.... pretty much one question but a two part question. No way in hell I'd be out there running at 40-45cpm as a experienced driver the same as the dude that got off his trainers truck yesterday. I would call the places @Chinatown put out there and keep looking and stop looking at companies like WE. Go drive, get paid brother.

you can't dispute too many things in a personnel file.

on a good note, had this been on your DAC record, it goes silent after the 7th year. you claim now that you have been at you current employer for 4 years? well 3 more to go, and it's not even old news, it's no news.

so where ever you end up...STAY THERE.

Not really looking for a Mega fleet. Could care less if they even use DAC. I just want a good truck, and miles to run. Been having trouble getting leads on smaller carriers.
Prefer something long haul, not overly worried about home time all the time. I need to run and get paid, Im basically rebuilding my life from scratch so...

@Chinatown I definitely appreciate your input and leads. This post here is for a day cab position, their yard is right down the road from my current employer. The whole reason I ended up looking for another job is due to my personal car took a big ol crap and I cant get to and from a local position.

I work for a 6 truck, owner in the office 1099 company. Looking at it weekly, pay is terrible, but i dont think i ever did less than 50cpm all miles. These megas seem to have agreed that the system that works best for moving massive amounts of ultra cheap freight is to all set the bar at starvation CPM then find drivers that are like ooh a lumber load from florida to alaska! Chaching! The recruiters are sifting the population in search of fresh meat that is eager to grind themselves to death.

The cpm tells me that i may not make a bunch on friday, but i dont do near as much work as you boys for it either. And when im pissed off i get to take it up with the guy who can change it right then and there. I wouldnt survive at any of these megas based on what i read here.
