We had the Great American Bagle today and not to Bad, Never had them before.
Now Tomorrow I've got a load that's going to push my 14 again, already used my 16 monday.
Sidney Oh. Gotta take an mt to the customer and then grab the load, that right there is going to cost me an hour easy, Then its all/mostly 2 lane US hwys all the way. I'll be scoping out hotels on the way
Jimmy John's is on the menu tomorrowChicagoJohn, Orange713 and Bud A. Thank this. -
Some week this has been for me! Spent monday through Wednesday twiddling my thumbs sitting on a load where the customer couldn't figure out if they had enough room in the tank for me. Ended up taking that one back to the yard. Come this morning and I'm stuck on the shoulder with a blown trailer tire only an hour out from my pickup.
Thinking it's about time for some hometime.Bud A., slim shady, sabresfan 76 and 1 other person Thank this. -
I knew this run pushed my clock
Got stuck this morning at Cargill load was ready but no c of a waited an 1hr and a half, US 127 was closed had to follow detour probably another 20 min lost, and then get here to unload and had to wait " we're going to lunch in 10 min" ... " can I give you the sample 1st"
...No
Oh well seen a nice Hotel back near US30.sabresfan 76, Bud A. and Orange713 Thank this. -
Its going to be a long day. I'm delivering at IMTT Channahon this morning, then swapping tanks and redelivering the Kankakee load, then washing out and preloading a tank at IMTT Lemont, then dropping and grabbing a clean tank and preloading again in Lemont.
On the plus side, I think the shipper decided what to do with the 10,000# heel I had earlier this week. Sounds like I'm going to some place in Bedford Park to get it toted off next week. Still cheaper then $12,000 in disposal fees. -
All this week Illinois is targeting hazmat placarded loads and mainly tankers.
"Knocking on wood"I've skates past scales that had the back lots full of tankers, Also many many roadside inspections going on, Nothing says Saftey like a placarded tanker sitting on the side of the roadChicagoJohn, Bud A., Rugerfan and 2 others Thank this. -
I once got pulled over so they could check my log book 3 miles after a open scale.
And No i didn’t blow by it, I stopped.slim shady and Bud A. Thank this. -
Bud A. Thanks this.

The unloader here actually said, just drive up into the trees, that way there will be no heel.
Bud A., slim shady and Orange713 Thank this. -
Well this is fun. I'm sitting at IMTT Lemont going it stops lightening long enough to get loaded. At least I'm on the clock.
Bud A. and slim shady Thank this.
