Dot Transportation near you runs solo's and teams and hires new cdl grads and has cdl school tuition reimbursement.

That is not a ringing endorsement of wanting to team drive.

I would also like to hear back from Merilin about his/her wishes.

Teaming done right is a very powerful thing. I built a team with spouse with all the particulars to go with it. Ive had other teams with certain people who were just as good. The money takes care of itself.

But if anyone feels in anyway being forced to team? I don't think that is acceptable. You should still possess what I call free will. If you aint gonna, you just aint. Be a mule and get stubborn about it.

congrats to you. i took my ex wife with me for 2 weeks onetime. it was all i could do too not jerk the wheel hard left.( it was a freightliner. so it pulled right anyway. so if i got in the hammer lane. then the jerk on the left would work.)

Some companies pay a slightly higher rate per mile to the truck for teams than solo drivers... Because ultimately that team truck makes them more money in the long run. Therefore a team driver can make more than a solo driver... One ad that comes to mind said they pay 43 cpm to solo drivers... But pay 48 cpm to team trucks. Cant remember what company that was now... Its been about a year ago that I saw it in a trucking paper

I could not bake a potato in my toaster oven running as a team.
The bouncing would throw that potato right out.

With my luck it would happen just when the potato was done cooking, leaving a big mess to clean up.

And then you have to convince the person driving to pull over at just the right time to get it out.

Put it on when you are driving... And it Will be ready when you stop to switch driver... Or put a second one on for the teammate as well, food is always a good bribe...:D
