    ya definately got to be paying attention to driving. Never ever put yourself in a position where you have to hard break. 99% of it is slow down and don't tail gate.

    Back to the talk about front overhang, when I used to haul I-joists we’d overhang the front quite a bit. As long as your forearm fit between the load and back of the cab you wouldn’t have to worry about your bunk.

    I took this picture a few months back. You can see what truckstop I'm at in the background.

    One of those beams slid forward. So they hooked a couple chains/binders together to get it pulled back. It missed his cab by 6 inches or so, I didn't get a picture of that.

    The sad part is he just left the securement the way it was... You would think he would have added some after what happened!!! Hes got all securement over the top nothing on the layers in between 20190804_195753.jpg

    If that was a routine load for me id carry a bundle of chainlink fence rolled up in the dunnage rack.

    Set the first piece of dunnage ontop the fence and then raise it up over the nose of the load. bind over it.
