Anyone running the Enterprise lease trucks?

I'm getting close to go time on my numbers and I'm starting to second guess myself on my older truck. I've put a ton of time & money into the truck (05 F350) and it's kinda like finding things that need fixed never stop. I'm in the middle of rebuilding the front end now, ball joints, tie rods ect.. but when doing that on a 4wd it requires new axle seals which are almost $100 each side..

but wait there's more, because while doing it I realized one of the rotors was worn too much so I end up replacing both front rotors.. Had to replace a ABS wheel sensor.. I was under the back working on my air bags and notice the inside on one rotor is scared up.. pads are good but guess the inner side of the rotor was damaged from the previous own and he didn't replace it.. Then while doing the ball joints I find a oil leak that it didn't have after I did the head job.. (I been running the hell out of it trying to find #### and ####'it I'm finding ####)

I'm like GRRRR it's never ending, I thought I'd be finished with it all by now but it keeps coming and I haven't even started hauling with it yet.. The truck runs great, is dependable, but this nickle and dime #### isn't nickles and dimes it's $100 here $200 there... Anyway I'm really starting to second guess myself on this truck. I originally bought the truck for personal use and decided I'd use it to get started Hot Shotting because I had it and over all wasn't a bad truck... but it's a 05 and apparently many little things keep popping up.. It's all mostly stuff you expect to need to fix but #### is hard on you when you keep finding more and has me disheartened a bit with the truck and makes me think I can't 100% trust it.

Anyway, I knew of that Enterprise lease option that I've seen a lot of guys swear by.. The one in Indiana has a giant waiting list.. but I found a different location 2 hours from me that can put me in a truck the next day if I opted to do it.. It's actually a little better than the Indiana Enterprise set up , well at least for me. A few little differences..but it's still the same deal, pay the .22/mile and they cover all repairs, oil changes, fuel filters, tires ect..

So I'm curious.. is anyone here running the Enterprise trucks and if so do you recommend it, have you finished the miles on one and taken a 2nd? Would you continue with it?

 

The lease I looked at includes tires.. The only time they don't cover a tire is due to a blow out or a flat. The deal I was looking at was a bit different than the Indiana one.

It was a $4k deposit, then flat .22/mile everything included but fuel.. They put mud flaps on it, it comes with a goose neck set up, brake controller was installed, had a fire extinguisher, road triangles.. Hell even the DOT number is on the truck..

The $4k deposit was 100% deposit. Up in Indiana they kept $1,800 of it if I'm not mistaken as a set up fee. The big difference, was it wasn't a 60k lease, it was a year contract and you turn the truck in for a new 1 every 35k miles but turning it in ever 35 would be rough..

I really was not a fan of that, but on the flip side very little chance of tire issues or anything else in 35k miles.

I ended up not doing it though because it was going to raise my insurance cost almost $5k and I'd need a separate policy on the truck aside from my DOT insurance.. That kinda killed it to me so I'm sticking with my current truck..

If not for the massive jump in insurance cost I would have taken it..

 

It's a hair over 200k I put brand new Oring heads on it, arp studs, did a new oil cooler, new glow plugs. Every wire that touches the engine with exception of the battery cables is band new.. ( had a bad ficim harness so I just bought all new) New starter, new alternator upgraded to the new stand pipes, the new push rods...

All the brakes are new, I just finished rebuilding the front end and still need to get it to an alignment shop.. but it's still stupid ####.. I've been running it hard since I did the heads trying to find any possible thing that can go wrong...

While doing the front end I saw a new oil leak.. just finished up the front end a brakes yesterday/today so haven't had a chance to sort that... but it's always just one more thing...

I had to replace a ABS sensor because the light was on, did it with the front end stuff.. light went out.. now next day the #### light is back.... getting a code for the abs pump now...then I have a turbo code..

The turbo is working fine, but it is letting some oil blow by so I know I need to rebuild or replace the turbo... It just never ends and I haven't even started hauling yet..

Overal the truck is awesone just driving around, but Im just scared about running all day under load day in and out because thats a whole diffrent thing.


Unfortunately the lease truck combined with seperate policy on the truck and my MC insurance was just too much down...

The lease truck was $4k Securty deposit the seperate policy for the truck was $1,2k down then the MC# insurance was $2,3k down.. So $7,5k in down payments compared to just $2,3k to run the 05 so I'm just going to run with the 05.

It's a bit frustrating but I'm going to have to limit myself to more regional stuff or maybe do some auction runs locally until I can move into a diffrent truck or I fully trust this one.

I have extreemly good credit, but honestly, I screwed off a bit too long and don't have any income to show the banks this year so far as if I wanted a loan even on a newer used truck.. So have to wait till I can show income again.

 

I have all the equipment I need except for a better truck. I can't go buy a new or newer truck because I took too much time off and can't prove income for this year. I stopped driving back in Jan and took me a while to sort out what I was going to do and I just wanted to take time off to get some stuff done. Anyway it doesn't matter that I have 800 credit score if I can't show income when it comes to getting loans so I have to start bringing income in again before I look for a better truck..
