The weather and road treatment in the north east is a major problem. There's lots of roads and only so much time to repair them in the warm weather. The concrete base is nice and all, but they poured them thin and so properly wide modern roads end up tearing them out because the outside shoulders settle. Now think of how a single road can take multiple days just to repave and a single lane can be open while they do it. If you poured a new base that #### would take weeks. There's absolutely not enough time in the world to do that for most roads.

Ive been dodging the same potholes in PA and NY since my daughter was in a baby carrier. She is 8 now. They tunnelled under boston into the water table during perpetual rush hour and with same climate faster than some states pave a basic road. PA gets 74.7 cents a gallon off every truck. They just dont seem to spend it on roads.

I experience the same thing on the stretch of freshly laid asphalt on interstate 40 in southwest Arkansas. I just figured it was poorly leveled. Its smooth as silk but feels groovy.

I think I've noticed that sometimes with new road surfaces and with brand new tires. "I'm not say no matter what they drunk."

Ruts in the road, the base was not done right. I would think if it was oil and you were sliding, you would know it.
There is a couple of miles just before you get to Anchorage that is like this, it scares the crap out of new drivers that hit it the first time when the pavement is slick with ice or snow, they think they are sliding and headed for the ditch, but the ruts will keep you on the road. lol

Lepton1, Intothesunset and D.Tibbitt Thank this.
