It would be hard to sleep in these trucks. They removed the bunks and installed a bench seat with 3 seat belts. This was done to discourage sleeping when you could be learning from someone's mistake, or just studying.
Washington state is a lot more strict than some of the other states. They want to hear certain words, and if you miss too many you can fail. I never was very good at memorizing a speech, so i will just need to study even harder.
Swift training school any one out here been there.

if ya aren't good at memorizing it as a speech ya might trying matching it to a little tune that ya can memorize them by.. kinda like the ABC's LOL that was pretty much what I did when i had originally gotten my CDL in CA in 94/95 it was like doing a song and dance for the test.. but that was just my little trick to not forgetting it...ford390pwr Thanks this. -
In Massachusetts the hard thing to learn the words for was the brake bleed down. Everything had to be said word for word to pass. On the PTI you could use your own words as long as you knew what you were checking and why.

Yep, at my school we learned not to say "no damage," you have to say "not cracked or frayed" or whatever the proper terms are for what you're pointing to.

Bill, I'm just a newbie driver so I don't know a great deal. What I know about freight in the east is that I've been told by my DM that freight is really slow coming east to west. Each time we run freight to the east I say a little prayer for a quick turn around. Of course I also do that for every load. LOL I like to have an assignment for the next load before we even pick up the current load.
You'd be better off talking to someone in the east, their info would be so much better than mine.
