Made it to where I need to be to take my 34.

I slept in the wilds last night. Got down to 20°. Otter sleeps really good in the cold. My wife was talking to me when I feel asleep. Woke up 8 hours later and couldn’t figure out why I had my ear buds in. LOL.

Do you have a cdl? Yes a class A license
Have you run truck in the past? Driven yes. Owned no
Whats holding you back from just doing that? Not sure I understand what your asking.
If your asking why I dont own yet? Primarily that I only have 7 months driven. It was in a recent post.

I was looking at a 2012 Cascadia. Insurance is nuts for anyone with less than a year driven (40k for less than a year. 5k annual fee if one year driven)

Yes the numbers dont sound right to the wife and I either. The fellow whom supposedly is doing the hiring seems to be offering #'s that are higher than what a driver would make as a Class 8 driver. Supposedly $1800 per week on average. I asked the person on the phone to email me the info that is needed for working at the company and the email isnt coming. The client is National Tire Warehouse. The company is PDX North (a courier company) out of Boston. So far it is smelling more and more like recruiter gibberish. A search on them says they have a high turnover rate.

The wife has declared that if I were to get a delivery job? That she would be much happier if I were not turning as many miles and was something more established (beverage or tow truck company, as a company driver). The wife is comfortable with me staying at home and letting the cats in or out. Repairing the occaisional things that break. And puttering around the garage. Making do with the little money that we make.

She might retire next spring. She even claimed if I stayed home she would make herself more available. LOL She will probably clarify something else as I agreed to it waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to quickly! bwahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!
