Did you or anyone else get the Qualcomm message from yesterday..."A reminder on how break down pay works".
I didn't know that when you right up your truck the shop has also "Two hours of Grace" before you start getting break down pay!

Looks like they’re getting ready to start paving the front part of the trl lot. They had all the trls moved yesterday. Too bad it’s going to be raining today.

Atlanta really sucks....lol! Three truck pile up at entrance to the scale going east on 20....took me an hour and a half to get through the back up. If only ppl would read signs and move over instead of driving down the lanes that are closed to try and jump in front of everybody.....It would also be smart if they would close the scale when backed out onto the interstate to clear everybody then open it again. Im betting that played a part in the truck pile up besides drivers not paying attention and speeding. Hope they all made it out ok. Ran into another accident south of Atlanta on 75..... good thing I gave myself an extra three and a half hours to get to my delivery. Glad home time is next week, be glad to get out west again away from this east coast BS.....

That happened in Indiana years ago. The scale on I94 near Michigan City. Trucks were backed up onto the travel lane, waiting to get in. One truck hit another I believe, someone was killed. Shortly after that signs appeared that said something to the effect that if the lane to the scale is full, bypass the scales.

That is a smart thing to do, put up signs like that so nobody gets hurt. Law suit waiting to happen when scales are backed out to the interstate and they insist on weighing every truck and not telling trucks to bypass when full.

Hope they unload me fast being my 14 is counting now. Hate being told to get somewhere for an appt time and all docks are full....had to blind side into the dock since the local driver didn't pull off to the side out of the way of the big area for turning around like he was told to do....I think the only broker loads I have had no problem with are beaver freight out of Oregon.

Delivered to South Windsor, CT this morning. Easily the tightest dock I've ever had to bump. Made Battery Dantzler look roomy.

After several hours, new load assignment has me driving to Derby in Allentown to pick up a Volvo load.

All last night at the truck stop, my truck was rocking due to the wind. Wasn't quite so bad this morning, but this afternoon I've been getting blown all over the road.

Just as I'm about to cross the Hamilton Fish bridge on I-84 in upstate New York, I see a NYDOT sign: "HIGH WIND ADVISORY -- USE CAUTION -- EMPTY TRUCKS BANNED".

This is not a thing you want to see when you're about to drive an empty truck across a long bridge. Especially since the sign was placed well past the last point where one could turn around or even pull off the road. Driving across that bridge was an attention-focusing experience.

Called HQ. Load I'm picking up in Allentown delivers in NC on Tuesday, so nobody is gonna wind up behind the 8-ball if I don't pick it up today. And since I don't want to run the risk of messing up their pretty little truck, I have accordingly pulled over for the night. Hopefully the wind will have died down enough in the morning
