I’ve got a 2019 Ram 3500 Dually with the 4.10gears.
Would it be overkill to get the 30k trailer or could that truck handle the tongue weight when it’s loaded?
Is there anything I can ask a trailer manufacturer to do to reduce tongue weight?
TIA
24k vs 30k trailer

That’s what I want to do but I don’t want to overload the truck, particularly on the drive axle -
rccarlson22 Thanks this.

Has anyone with a 3500 ran a 30k flatbed gooseneck and loaded it up?

Heaviest I've scaled so far at a weigh station was 36,600 gross. Full load nearly bottomed out my suspension but mostly because of the wheel well brackets. Getting airbags installed soon that would hopefully help eliviat the problem and also going to get a welder to reposition the wheel well bracket.
A loaded 30k will put 6-7.5k lbs on the drive axle.Lite bug and rccarlson22 Thank this. -
Do you know the payload on these? It’s the same truck you have but with a bed
