Yooo Hooo... @Clara3
We have questions.
It sounds as if you blew past some coops and were cited.
The first, you accept responsibility for bc you were sightseeing.
The second, you say the lights were not on.
If you want to fight them, you have TWO choices.
Hire TWO attorneys because they're in TWO different counties and are two separate incidents.
It will be worth your money. Keep your record clean if you want to be a pro in this biz.
If you want to fight them on your own, you'll have to show up at each court date and plead your case to the presiding judge, OR, before trial to the D.A. and they'll likely lower it down to an equipment violation. They usually just want the money and if your record is clean they'll work with you.
NO GUARANTEE OF THAT.
Those are your choices.
Help please

Former company I worked for a driver got one & was not a moving violation unless they changed in last 3 years.
truckdriver31 Thanks this. -
That's why she has to follow through.. and not assume anything.
She could call the local DA.. if they'll talk to her.. and ask if it's a non moving violation.
If it's not... PAY IT.
If it is... better fight.truckdriver31 Thanks this. -
I stand corrected its a 5 point violation on csa .
truckdriver31 Thanks this. -
2015 csa rules just like running a red light
truckdriver31 Thanks this. -
Would be nice if she could find the time to come back to her thread. If the tickets are just for bypassing a scale then I would just pay them and be done. If you got written up for failure to obey a traffic control device then you may want to try and do something about them.
truckdriver31 Thanks this. -
I got one of those once in Maryland, it was a point plus 45 dollar ticket. It was a giant game of musical red light in near the DC area, 4 lanes of us took off to beat it, lawman had me written up because I was too slow and ran that red.
truckdriver31, NavigatorWife and Swine hauler Thank this. -
Call the court, give them the citation number and ask how much will it cost to get it paid.
I don't know about you, you keep putting obsticals in front of you.jammer910Z, deathB4decaf, truckdriver31 and 6 others Thank this.
