Ahhhhh, you hardly get to see any Cabovers on the road anymore!

I've got a wooden replica of BJ and the bear Kenworth truck that my son made up, out of 1/8" Panelboard. Looks just like it.

People seem to pick up and collect old cabovers.
You can find old Cabovers for sale pretty cheap.. Around here you can find one sitting on some farm land and pick them up for around 6,000.. And refurbish it.

Hey ! Maybe Ntio70 can pick up an ole' Cabover for starters , then pick up a girlfriend and have her sit on the dog house next to him ?

You're on the right track and don't let anyone here dissuade you. This is exactly how I did it. I started in 2000 and the first 8 years I was busting it out here, not really having much of a life otherwise, but after a couple of years I was putting back $500 a week minimum into savings. I had some weeks where I put back $650. I bought a brand new '07 dodge diesel pickup in Nov '06 and a good used '03 Kenworth this past March paying cash in full for both. I've got a good start on my retirement savings plus a good chunk of cash saved up for operating expenses. If things go according to plan I'll be building a paid for house in another 5-8 more years. Most of your naysayers have a half dozen kids, 2 car payments, boat payments, motorcycle payments, credit cards etc. Don't fall into those traps. Just drive a company truck and save, save, save. Oh yeah, and listen to Dave Ramsey on XM/Sirius for inspiration especially on fridays.
