20K? HA thats enough for me to look into that. Work long enough to take it and run. =)

I know #### well how rough it would be. but thats probably why they offer 20K

Hmmmm...I guess I was wrong about the container trailers

The ones I've seen are single stacked trailers rather than the typical JB Hunt type container trailer......

Always wondered why FedEx called it multi-modal instead of intermodal

I’d say the reason they may be stacked on single trailers is because they don’t want to break the container from the multimodal chassis which FedEx owns as well (maybe there won’t be chassis available for use at whatever rail yard they are going to or that kind of thing). The vans that are permanent trailers are an anomaly but they exist. On the other brand containers we use chassis from whatever rail yard they pull from.

I’m pretty sure those last two don’t get used for intermodal any more. All the ones I’ve seen have a sticker slapped on the door saying “for city use only.”

I've seen them being loaded and closed to go to the rail yard with bolt seals at the N. Arlington hub.

Last year when there was a lot of freight all the companies were hiring in my area. Now I’m hearing some guys are sitting at home few days a week or got laid off. That’s what I’ve been hearing at least...

What are the interior dimensions, or if unknown, the exterior dimensions of the stacked containers?

    To OP:

If yer female or trans(or willing to declare yourself trans, seriously.) then come on down to UPSF because we WANT YOU AND WE WANT YOU NOW.

    No experience? No problem.

    Notes:
    1) i've got nothing against any female who works, except two of them, here and i think most do a very good job except 2.

    2) i've got nothing against transpeople, and, in fact, i believe i know one; Not the girl i was recently with, though.
