Fall. It’s natures box of chocolates.

It was 70-ish yesterday when I parked. 60-ish when I went to sleep. Hopped out of the truck this morning in a tee shirt and shorts took about two steps turned around and got back in.

    28°.

I now have pants, boots and a jacket on. It’s supposed to be 80° where I’m going.

It’s not “jet lag”. It’s “weather lag” that I get.

Thank you for your sympathy... It was the most difficult time when I arrived till dad passed away... and I am still going thru some mourning....

You are right... in order to really know, one has to live there for a while, know the language so to understand the locals and what is going on...
I dream about visiting Italy, Spain and India... but want to go with people who live there or have lived there or who has been there several times and know the places well.. cause I like the "real deal".... :biggrin_25519:

When I traveled throughout Brasil, I was planning on going to Colombia... but was hit by a car and had to have surgery which totally changed my plans.

I am vegetarian.... but meat eaters say that the Brazilian meat is one of the best tasting meats in the world... and the gourmet is EXCELLENT. A lot of variety of dishes and combinations, with native Brazilian influence, Afro-Brazilian and European influence... and also Japanese, Chinese and Eastern Europe influence as Brasil has descendants from all those countries...

If you ever visit, make sure you know someone there who can help you around and have a safe trip. :biggrin_25519:

Well I'm #### glad I kept on as far as the nag would let me... if I had stopped in Laramie for an 8 split like I had originally planned I'd have been stuck like you...

Closures are hit and miss from Cheyenne to Rock Springs in both directions...

SLC has some foreign white powdery substance layered across the landscape. That won’t last, temps down in the freezing range for the next 24 hrs.

Highs in the 50s -- lows below freezing all week.

Most of the fall colour blew out of the trees this past week

Looking at the cameras, they aren't doing anything to the roadways either.

550 miles out of route to go up to 90 and come back down.

    BS.

It's not even snowing that bad.

    I smell WYDOT unprepared.

thelushlarry, InTooDeep, Rocks and 2 others Thank this.

I get the impression that Wyoming is starting to get the Califorigon road closure syndrome.

When road conditions get to a point that stupid people will do stupid things and cause crashes or other mayhem.
It’s easier to just close the road, and keep the idiots in place, rather than tie up responders.
