@ShooterK2 or @OLDSKOOLERnWV what does the manual mean by bottom out the injector timing plunger? Is it talking about the part the rocker rides on or the part that is inside the spring?

I'm guessing the ball end piece is the plunger its referring to.

 

Question for the congregation..

Do we like Cavenders for boots, specifically their prices ?

 

Install injector tighten adjustment on injector rocker to bottom out plunger then set to spec

 

2210 dollars later I am good for another year.....I'm ger smart and go farm plates some day

 

Sometimes they have smoke’n hot deals — bought a lot when the daughter was doing her 4H/FFA deal — always pretty good on returns

 

Coming into Okie City pretty quick trying to decide on Cavenders or maybe Boot Barn ?

Taking care of a small oil leak on my rocker box and happen to see a broke bridge! After looking closer I found the valve springs were a good 1/8” to 3/16 difference in height (intake valves). Starter looking then seen the problem, keepers were countersunk in one set of valves, and perturbed on the other causing a difference in height. Needless to say that much difference caused a big difference in spring pressure!

Then I had to figure out how to get the valve spring off without pulling the head...!! Fortunately I had a spare injector to alter in order to pressurize the cylinder and hold the valves shut. All in a days work I guess lol. Just glad I have the ability to do these things myself....

 

Passed a guy having a bad day. Load of four large pipes slammed in to his headache rack. I'd have had at least 4 more straps on it if it were me. On the plus side, it looks like the only damage besides the rack were those little fairings on the back of the sleeper. Didn't appear to have pushed the rack into the back of the sleeper at least.

 

Makes my injector woes seem like child's play. Least you dont have a ton of #### above your engine to get in the way of workin.
