Don’t feel like the Lone stranger.....
Taking care of a small oil leak on my rocker box and happen to see a broke bridge! After looking closer I found the valve springs were a good 1/8” to 3/16 difference in height (intake valves). Starter looking then seen the problem, keepers were countersunk in one set of valves, and perturbed on the other causing a difference in height. Needless to say that much difference caused a big difference in spring pressure!

Then I had to figure out how to get the valve spring off without pulling the head...!! Fortunately I had a spare injector to alter in order to pressurize the cylinder and hold the valves shut. All in a days work I guess lol. Just glad I have the ability to do these things myself....

That is some handy dandy homemade tool. Sorry to hear about the troubles.

Didn't know you were up in Ohio. By the way, I believe that the office staff of @jamespmack prefer to be called "financially challenged keg connoisseurs". Busted barrel nut sounds too much like riff raff.

Wish I would have caught it before I installed the head, kinda surprised the machine shop didn’t catch it either. I’m back up and running now though, so far all is good, everything greased and brakes adjusted too.....

#6 is a bit tight with the fresh air intake pipe right above the valve covers, but it’s doable..... :)

1998/1999 FL century's had some come out of the factory with 1 piece valve cover on a series 60. Non removable cowl. Service procedure was to unbolt. Place block of wood on each side and snap the valve cover in two. Replace with 2 piece. It was a slight oversite when they built them.
