Trust me, EVERYONE at Freight views them in the same light. Rude, inconsiderate drivers that clearly take no pride in being a courteous professional driving junk #########. Ground contractors definitely seem to hire drivers with a "meat in the seat" mentality. I think this is due to Ground not having a safety department for drivers since the only part of linehaul they seem to oversee is the dispatch/arrival of trailers.

FXF's safety department is very rigid and strong. When they say "Safety above all", those guys mean it. I know of a dispatcher being fired for giving a driver grief about putting in delay time for bringing a trailer to the shop to have a marker light out. The dispatcher asked if it was really necessary to bring it to the shop for a marker light, instead of running it and writing it up at the destination. Well, wouldn't you know, the driver called the 800 line to report it and the dispatcher's job was posted within 72 hours.

FxG could have changed the RPS business model but didn't do so, likely because of "costs". Which are coming home to roost.

My dealings with FxF and UPS HR have not been terribly impressive. The FxG contractors I've spoken with have been more honest and less corporate dickish. But it is low margin and a stepping stone for many, so turnover.

It terrifies me to think what I might do for a 280 million bribe.

I get it and agree with you, I was a linehaul contractor there for 12 years, although we never saw anything of this magnitude, myself and the other honest contractors I worked with saw first hand the shadyness that went on, especially when it came to run assignments, I don't want to get into all of it because it will just get me pissed off and worked up, what I do know is that a good friend of mine who is still there has trucks and employees sitting right now, because of the actions of these idiots in SLC, innocent people who weren't involved in this are paying the price right now for it, and that's not right, but it is a good thing this has finally come to light and being dealt with.

I will keep opinions to myself of what I think of the post cold war Soviet trash that infest FXG, just remember, they just come here to work and have a better life, according to bleeding hearts.

It's not $280 million bribe. It's total sum of money those contractors got from FedEx Ground with Ryan in position. Some money was absolutely legal but some not.

Everyone came here for a better life. Those who abuse it should be punished.
