What does that 13 hours entail? Seems like a long day for a first day of skills, and orientation. Is there a lot of waiting around while others are doing the skills tests?

    CurtH Thanks this.

Had 94 people there so split into 2 groups. 1 group spent first half of day in classroom setting being schooled on all things Walmart while other half was doing backup pretrip and road driving. Switch up after lunch. If your not doing classroom then there is some waiting around between task.

I decided to end my training after 2 days. Seemed like a terrific job but I didn't feel I was a good fit. I've been trucking for 32 years and have never worked for a large company and I wasn't comfortable with the cameras, the collision avoidance equipment on the trucks couple other things I heard from safety people. Wished it would have worked out the pay and benefits were tremendous.

Oh. Well, gotta do what’s right for you. The company I work for now has cameras that face out, and into the cab. We also have the safety equipment that will automatically apply brakes if someone gets in front of you, or if you get too close to the vehicle in front of you. It’s good technology, but when you’re in traffic, it can be a pain. It’s also annoying to hear the lane assist buzz through the speakers. So I get it.
Did they still fly you home? Will you be paid for your time in Bentonville?

Yes flew me home next day. Not really sure about the pay. Everyone I met that was associated with the company were great people. The Walmart cheer to start the morning was kinda cultish

Is it the squiggly thing? I worked at a store in high school and they did it in the break room. I made sure to miss those meetings after that. It was one of the more awkward cheers I’ve ever encountered. Lol

The squiggly thing definitely doesn't help.
