In 10 years what has not changed..

It's not that bad out there bud. I told ya to stop down here next time you are thru and grab you one of the tanker jobs you pass on 60. They are pretty gravy, I road tested at one because I thought I was gonna have to switch jobs and it was a pretty sweet deal.

It's just that OP had some valid points though. If maybe he didn't express them in an eloquent way, but still, valid points were made.

The same could be said for any generation. The generation before always critisizes the next . just best to let it go and do ur thing . buddyd spent alot of years out here truckin he could teach us all a thing or two

 

I deleted my post, but since you quoted it, I'll address a point. You're right Tibbit. Some of the older drivers could teach us all or thing or two.

And yet, many of them are nowhere to be found in the threads from younger folks or newbies asking for advice on good starter companies or good companies to choose from.

 

Idk you would have to ask him. but if i learned anything out here trucking , its to always listen to the guys thats been out here awhile. U can form ur own opinion about what they say or the advice they give but u atleast gotta listen. Doing flatbed i been around my fair share of older guys that think they done it all and seen it all and if u aint doin it their way then ur wrong and they really irritate me , but i give them the time of day and pick and chose what i wanna take as advice and leave the rest out of my brain . alot of the things ive learned came from people that i really didnt wanna talk to or be around but sometimes they give u some golden nuggets to take with u in life. Just my 2 cents

See what I mean? Think before you speak. I didn't give you the warning points but I did read the explanation that went with them and the post involved. The ten points were warranted.

@GhentSaintPeters don't let the interwebs get to ya, we all have bad days and these are nothing but words on a screen from some one else far away that has no effect on your life. We all have days where something will rub you the wrong way and then there are the other days where it's actually us doing the rubbing so just let it roll of you and don't feed into it.
