Idk exactly what they are but I know I’d drive the help out of that twin screw given the chance.

Quick update on the costco pay, a guy I used to work with is currently interviewing with Costco. He said the job is pretty easy its drop and hook, starting pay is $24dls then after 6 months you get bumped up to $26 then once you hit a year you will hit top pay at $28.50. As far as routes he said they go to Austin, san Antonio corpus and soon to Lafayette.

I spent 18 years as a P&D driver for FedEx Freight. Now, I’m still local, but doing truckload freight, in particular heavy haul, and enjoying it. My pay is a little lower than I used to make ($26.50 vs $30/hour), but I don’t have to work as hard any more, either. Now instead of jumping in and out of the truck 30+ times per day, I normally bump no more than 3 docks per day maximum, and wait for my customers to load/unload me. Granted, I’m getting a little fatter...

Is this the same gig you’ve had for about the last 5 years or better?

I keep seeing these Amazon trucks in lots brand new ready to go 50 to 100. I keep seeing delivery vans out west going east 3 on a trailer. I been seeing Amazon containers next to JB going east on the rail.

If Amazon pays any money to drive for and I can get 25% off sign me up.

No, that was Providence. This is Wilson Logistics PNW. After leaving Providence I went regional. Then I had to quit for health reasons when I was going through the divorce, ended up at DSV (gag), and then DSV was purchased by Wilson, so here I am again, only local.

So you’re not delivering to hospitals anymore?

That’s strange seeing a triaxle tractor pulling a box. Does your outfit haul heavy equipment too?

I was thinking the same thing. I don't think I've ever seen a truck with a tag axle dragging anything but a lowboy.

I actually called a local outfit that does the Amazon sprinters and straight trucks, figured why the hell not. My years in a package car at UPS would enable me to crush it there. The pay was like $13/hr if I remember correctly and they had enough work to keep me busy for like a half a day. I now see why they are getting the help they are getting lol. It's bad around here.

I’d bet they have a very different set of rules up there in @JReding ’s corner of the country.
