Yeah round trip in and out of there will take 20-25 minutes now. Maybe a little more.

Well, Opie is on vacation so dispatch screws me for the first time. Deliver at Superior Beverage around noon. Get dispatched to Smuckers in Orrville...appointment says 1500...I let dispatch know that my 14 is up at 1600. He says usually the stuff is pre loaded. Yeah, no. Got here at 1:30, in the door by 1:45, just sitting here. 3:00 is right in the middle of there shift change so shouldn't have even been an appointment at that time according to their signs. I'd be surprised if I get out of here in the next hour. And I'm going to have to PC to a safe haven...and my plans for getting thru Cincinnati tomorrow early are up in the air. Ugh.

Ugh there's not really anywhere close that I'm aware of for you to PC to, either. I know the closest truck stop with a CAT scale is the Love's in Bellville and that's like 60 miles away. Can't recall offhand if there's anything closer or not.

Dispatch is right, though. That stuff is almost always preloaded. Every time I've been there it has been has been one of the fastest, easiest DnH loads I've run.

There is a pilot and loves up on 71/76 about 14 miles away. Long day, started at 1 CST to get my over the weekend home time load delivered and then get stuck sitting around at Smuckers messing everything up for 3 hours.

Oh well. Im exhausted, that bed is going to feel nice, and get going as soon as I can to avoid Columbus and Cincinnati traffic. Then same plan on Wednesday to get past Atlanta.

In other news I got 3300 miles my first week out...when I did the math I came up with less but still over 3000. This past week working recaps and then getting a chance to spend Saturday night and Sunday at home, I still got 2500, again not sure why when I Google the miles for the load I delivered today it was 60 miles shorter...but thanks for that extra 60 to get me over 2500 and not just sitting at 2449.

    MIT Thanks this.

Ya thats Smuckers fn you not dispatch. They gave you a load you got to pick it up at 1 30 and your 14 wasnt up till 4pm...usually 15 to 30mins in and out of there and then you drive an hour or so and park. Thats on Smuckers

But the appointment time said 1500...but whatever...just a driving day tomorrow and hopefully I don't feel like trash. Sneaking in home time isn't the way to go, haha. Next time I'm getting actual home time. Asked Opie for a load I could get home a little on so I could get set with more winter stuff. Then the dud of a Packers game was late afternoon...so 6 hour nap and get rolling at 1 Monday morning, but we had pizza for dinner and its not treating me well.

Is Millis still worth it since they've been bought out by that other company?

As it stands right now, absolutely. It's really too soon to tell but I don't really think that much is going to change.

I was talking to some guys a couple of days ago and they're hearing that there's actually been more that's changed at Heartland than what's changed at Millis. The merger announcement said that they liked how we did things so maybe they're trying to learn from us.
