Someone got cheap and replaced a bad tire with a worn tire instead of replacing them together.

Yup. Cheap. The enemy of quality trucking progress. Worse case scenario it causes more problems and possibly ruin the truck. Then you really need to find money for a replacement truck.

I did that with one car by being cheap. It ran itself into the ground in a hurry. It was not much of a car. Lesson learned.

When all the explainations do not make since, revert back to the obvious, cheap people.

why not? When wear parts begin to fail such as airbags replacing 1 and ignoring the other 3 which are the same age and mileage is a recipe for more failures in the immediate future IMHO.

So you say either one wasn't run low. Is that by tire pressure gauge standards or the good old thump?

Possibly under-inflation, but now also the worn tire with less tread depth could be skipping. Both tires need to be within 5/32 to be in a pair.

    Sometimes,Yes.....Heres Why

When your financially "Ok" and you have the space/shop and all tools..Why Not?
    Heres a better example
When I do Brakes.....Drums are replaced and seals,Everytime- Bearings are inspected, S cam Bushings are inspected and replaced If needed....I'll even replace chambers If I know They have 36 months on them

Better than Doing it while im on the road....

It costs the same to do all your brake chambers yourself as it does to have one done on the road.
