Yes he is doing well he is taking full advantage of the after hours ppractice so I have hardly talked to him the last couple days he only has one movie left to watch and he's been doing homework every night too. He said he has already improved his shifting 100 percent and that basically everything he was taught in school was wrong lmao but overall he loves it we decided if he can do 30 on 5 off that's the way we would like to go and that after 90 days he is seriously considering teams

well that is a really good thing to hear, and if he is thinking about teams, tell to make sure he thinks long and hard about it, i was all set up to run teams with a guy, and at the very last min, he didnt want to and after some time i found out some of his history, and im very glad that i didnt end up sleeping in a truck, while some guy, who was arrested many many years ago for beating a guy up for taking his parking spot at a mall, and make sure he talks to the teams as he passes by them at places to get an idea of how it is. im still looking for a good team mate... but i live in Pa, and not so many drivers do, id like to team with someone close by to home, as mr. rednek should tooo

I've seen conflicting reports amongst their info at my school, so I figured I'd ask one of y'all...

Do you have to have a doubles endorsement at W/S?

Nope. you dont need any of them, just a class a, now, having the dbls, hazmat, and able to enter canada is something they would like, but no you dont need any of it, so correct the information they have at you school

Oh well that's is kinda creepy.. if he did teams it would be with my his friend who is working with another company right now. They both went for whoever would take them for the time being to get experience but both want to do teams. We have known him and his wife for years they got married 4 days before we did lol.

I applied to W/S a few weeks ago - Planning on calling them Monday. You have all been a great help. Should be out of school in 10 days.

My other choice is May Trucking.

I am out of Denver, do you think that there is any chance for me with W/S? Does W/S allow drivers to take the passes; Vail and Loveland?

we have a term in denver, so i dont see why they wouldnts hire you, just as long as the truck school you are in is a approved school for them. and they do allow you take all the passes, they will teach how to shift, up AND down on hills during the 10 day on a 6% grade.

ms rednek, thats a good thing they know eachother, i hear a lot of teams compare living in a truck with someone is like being married with out the the " pleasure " :biggrin_2551:

    LMAO, that's a good one.

S2B was too nice. In a nutshell, W&S is a NW company. You'll be expected to throw iron, if the need arises. And you will see many passes.

Tip for you: Don't let an experienced driver talk/shame you out of putting chains on, if you feel the need for chains. Many times, I have been the only "clown" throwing chains on the side of the road. Many other times, I had wished I was the only clown throwing iron. Know your own limitations..... No one else knows the handling characteristics of your truck and the load you are pulling.

    Mountain Spirit Thanks this.
