Abs ain't that bad, it's just basic wiring. But I'm right the with ya on the emissions. Electronically controlled injectors and timing is as much emissions as im ever gonna have.

I beg to differ. I’ve replaced at least 3 ABS computers, several tone rings and sensors, two modulator valves at a cost of several thousand dollars for what? All it does is increase stopping distance, CSA score and the purchase price of both truck and trailer. Currently have a open circuit to the ABS computer on my 98 T800. Can you even tell me where they hid the stupid computer?

When abs first was mandated, they had a rash of accidents. Some argued it wasn’t perfected, which I still believe is true, simply because the abs Manufacturers lobbied for the mandate. All I know is I had to stand on the brakes, first run in my 2000 to keep from blowing through a toll booth. Still don’t like the added stopping distance in an emergency, standing on them, dry pavement, keeps rolling. Yet all the studies show, blah blah blah. Give Me the old solid brakes. My foot has a built in sensor, Lol
