Yes there are exceptions and this makes you a wonderful person and employer. This is seldom on the corporate world.

    More should do this.

I do get your point and understand, and think alot of you for handling it that way.

On the other side there are the job jumpers to. Had a guy that is a job jumper at last job. I asked the owner not to hire him back. Good worker. Cried alot. Stayed for awhile this time. The owner sold/financed him a house to. Grown man at 50 couldnt get a house financed. Anyhow 6 months down the road came the no call/no show. Went to a competitor across town for .25 cent a hour more.

There are all kinds in this world.

I don’t necessarily have a solution. And I don’t need one. I like to have options. You never know when something could go haywire. I’m not going anywhere until at least after the new year, but a man should always know what’s out there in case he is fired or decides to leave. I’d hate to wake up one day and haVe no idea what’s out there if I needed it.

It’s hard to be fair to everyone even if you try and some employees are never happy no matter what. It’s hard for an employee to understand the employers side sometimes. I learned something a long time ago that’s maybe relevant and maybe not. I worked for the company I do now from 99 to 01. We had a skid loader operator that was really good, he was decent on a dozer and wanted to move to a dozer. They told him they would in due time, he gave them an ultimatum. Put me i a dozer or he would quit. Him to go ahead and go. I asked why we would let a great employee get away, I was told you can’t set the precedent of giving in to ultimatums or you would have every employee do it. His opinion the company didn’t appreciate him and had no respect for him, the companies opionion they didn’t want to lose him but they have to look at the big picture.

I’ve heard a thousand times that a company is “what have you done for me lately” to many employees feel entitled and it is rarely a positive.

And she’s the sweet one. My youngest will be calling shots like Babe Ruth when she plays, lots of unbridled anger, LOL.

I agree with that and I do that too a man would be a fool not to. To me that doesn’t seem like what you’re doing, you seem to get restless no matter what you do. Some of that goes away with age some of it has to be fought back because you have to look at the big picture.

you have a CDL and a clean record you can get a job tomorrow if you needed one and you know it. I will tell you the better the company the more people want to work there, if an employer is looking for a tie breaker between two potential employees a guy with 10 jobs in 5 years could be frowned on.
