....to get home....maybe....

try not to but yeah to get home

It's been rare in 16 years. Maybe twice, but the current Canadian HOS laws seem to be pretty hard to break for a guy doing what I do. I don't run any distance, and am home every night. The new ones could make it more interesting when overtime is needed. I don't have to run a log, by law, since I don't go outside the 160km radius, but company policy is that I do. Maybe when the new law takes effect they may soften the policy on using a log when it serves their purpose LOL.

If and when I do, it would be to get home..

cannot tell a lie. i have done it several times but it was to my benefit not the companies.

When ever I needed to for myself, my reasons, not saying I am right but you did say be honest so I am.

Been driving for 1 week now and have had to "average" our driving time on the log in order to get to a delivery on time. It really only gave us about 30-45 minutes extra.

Never. The consequences are far greater than many may realize. Just ask TurboTrucker. He has some shocking stories of people where that came back to haunt them.
