    It's been rare in 16 years. Maybe twice, but the current Canadian HOS laws seem to be pretty hard to break for a guy doing what I do. I don't run any distance, and am home every night. The new ones could make it more interesting when overtime is needed. I don't have to run a log, by law, since I don't go outside the 160km radius, but company policy is that I do. Maybe when the new law takes effect they may soften the policy on using a log when it serves their purpose LOL.

    cannot tell a lie. i have done it several times but it was to my benefit not the companies.

    Been driving for 1 week now and have had to "average" our driving time on the log in order to get to a delivery on time. It really only gave us about 30-45 minutes extra.

    Never. The consequences are far greater than many may realize. Just ask TurboTrucker. He has some shocking stories of people where that came back to haunt them.
