They have a cool thing for the ddec trucks that has a switch in cab and has 3 modes economy,Normal and POWAAAA BAWAHAHAHAHAHAH. It's all ecm done. I thinks it's 380hp then stock then like 750 or something like that I saw it in a paper and it seemed pretty cool.

Yep. I work for awhIle then take a break the do some more. Then weekend's me and my Dad haul milk together. I'm a Non Cdl Co-Driver lmao. Between the 2 of us we load farms as quick as the pump can pull em. There's a few times I think to myself if either of us were doing it on our own it would be a pain. Need 4 hands lmao.

This is a perfect example of why I brought up your age. YOU are not doing heavy haul. Your dad is doing it. or your uncle, or grandfather or whomever is. You have zero hands on practical experience of your own. You are a kid with big dreams but zero real knowledge. And that's ok. You will get that experience when you get older, just as the rest of us did.

I was the same way, I'd go with my dad or uncle and think that experience actually meant something. I'd wrench on their big cams and silver 92s and think I knew those engines. Hell sometimes I'd even load up a dozen or loader and personally drive it to the jobsite. I thought that meant I knew how to operate a truck. It wasn't till I was the one driving the truck, paying for the fuel and buying the parts that I figured out I didn't know ####

Morale of the story: until you are the one paying the bills, you don't know crap. What you do have is a small advantage over the typical company driver that wants to be an owner operator. That advantage is great cause unlike most you won't view wrenching on a truck as done big scary under taking.

Like my dad used to tell me when I was your age. Talk less, listen more.

Ddec: Detroit diesel electronic controlled Iv would be the generation of the engine. Ddec 1 was released in 86? 2 came a few years later, etc etc. 4 was the last one before egrs got bolted on. The engine family is series 60.

I was thinking the same thing. With those payments, id assume decent equipment that doesnt require an overhaul every year. Wow.
Insurance is high your first year but not that high.
I do wonder how dat would compare to landstar if anyone has numbers.
