Certain states in the NE are quite fond of OOS tickets for 1 bad strap on a 4-strapped car.

Crap like that is why respect for LEO's among drivers is in the toilet.

They’re not the only ones, that’s what I was saying about writing a securement violation for a loose chain even when there plenty on the load.

other than I would put at least 1 more strap close to each end of the top pipe I see nothing wrong with his load.
It is stripped, and loaded with heavy pipe bunks that reach over half way up the top pipe, and has 6 straps for 50ft of pipe over the top(not the spacing I would use) and 2 straps in each lower layer.
he has met the letter of the law.

As someone who got put OOS for one out of 8 straps being one notch loose on a 800 pound crate I agree. Petty #### instead of letting me tighten the strap and move on, he put me out of service first. I’m glad the road was a little bit safer that night.

If I hadn't seen the ticket with my own eyes I wouldn't believe it but a former member here got an insecure load violation for a loose bungee on his tarp.

Top pipes only have securement in center. Not every 10’

Securement isn’t required to be every ten feet.

Dont need to have it every 10ft only need enough securement to cover the length of the load. Something thats 40ft long needs 5 securment, 2 in first 10ft and 3 for every 10ft after that. Could put them all in front if u wanted to , obviously its better to spread them out evenly
