Hi guys I new to the owner op side of trucking. I have a 2011 kenworth t800 with a Cummins motor that has been deleted ,truck has 96k miles super low for year. The problem I’m having on my very first load I notice truck would get up to 65 but the rpm will be 1900 empty. I got my load truck trailer and load is only 75,000lbs. When I start to drive o only can go 55-60 at 1900 rpm. And no check engine lights are on. Can anyone help me with the problem I’m having. And my truck is only getting 2.7 mpg.

    thanx in advance

Did you just buy the truck?
    What motor, transmission, Rears ratio.
The engine computer could be programmed to a speed limit.
    Not sure about your mpg.

Speed at the same RPM cant change unless the clutch is slipping. Also sounds like you’re not getting into the very top gear unless the truck has really low gears and small tires.
