30 at the pumps late at night if there are many open pumps I have no problems with, because there is usually no parking else where, but you need to still make effort to be in the truck just in case.... but if the sun is up.. it's just rude.. Now a shower or a sit down dinner at Denny's while at the pumps.. that's just outright ########..

I know 2 stations 5 miles apart at the northern most end of civilization.
Trucks park at the islands. For any unknown reason.
authorization for fuel, shower, food, toilet.

1 has 5 islands. The other has 3. When I was on that route. Those were the 2 cheapest for fuel.
75% of my visits was waiting inline behind a full house and not ONE pump hose hooked to a truck.
I want to fuel and go home. Which is 100 miles away.

This was my daily local job. 2 trips up to the boonies.

Yeah.. I get you it always sucks.. One thing though is for owner operators/small companies sometimes they have to go inside before pumping to get the pump turned on because maybe their fuel card isn't authorized at that station or what ever.. Prior to getting my own fuel card I had to run inside and pre-pay a set amount otherwise they'd just deduct $500 to cover what ever you pumped, then it takes a few days for that to get situated and maybe you filled up 4 times since then so it adds up...so instead I'd have to run in and pre-pay $50 or $80 or something like that just to stop them from pre-charging my card $500 every time..

I use a credit card to fuel up and never get pre charged at all. At loves I tell them I wanna prepay 200 and when I'm done I check the bank account and it only shows the amount I fueled up for. With pfj I use the app and same, never pre charged.

What fuel card do you have?

It was before I got my fuel card. I was using my business debit and even tried my business credit.. They'd always hit them for $500 unless I went inside first.

I've done that too. Common sense here. I park down on the end pump furthest from building and take 30 after done fueling. If there are any spots left in the parking lot I will let somebody who actually needs it have it. At 2-3 am nobody is going to care if you hog a pump.

Sometimes those little truck guys don't know the proper etiquette if they are new and have never driven class A.
