I had only leaking problems. Both O-rings were bad. My truck has 850k miles. I installed new hp fuel pump and new air compressor. I spent 3 days on repair. This rear gear train sucks.

Best pump for the price. Install a rubber hose (feed) long enough to reach your fuel tank. Alligator clips for battery/ground connection. Engage pump for 2 minutes to prime system.mhyn Thanks this. -

I'm not sure how the OP can fill an inverted "canister" filter with fuel without priming it with the hand pump or other means..
Someone else mentioned pumping the primer 40 times on a DD15. No, it will take a lot more than that. Pump it till you arm feels like it's going to fall off, and then take a rest, and do it again twice over. When it starts, run it at high idle for a few minutes.mhyn Thanks this.
