Wife is off the truck. Dropped her at the house. It’s so quiet in here now. Will definitely miss her making me coffee and cooking while I drove. Glad I don’t have to share my bunk. She hogs the whole thing.

She liked this a heck of a lot more than on the WE truck. She wants to go again...That made me happy.

Exactly. The race engines I build get 20 minutes at 2000rpm to break the cam in then run the piss out of em to seat the rings.. I will add that I've never built a diesel only replaced but I imagine it's pretty much the same process.

While it is miserable and cold out I'm pretty confident it's not gonna snow lol.

My first rebuild in the shop was followed by a visit to the Dyno. The senior tech running the Dyno looked at me and said that he was going to bring the truck to its knees. Since it was my first build, I think he was hoping to break something. Absolutely scared every last bit of crap outta me but she passed.

Same thing. Bring the motor up to operating temp. Let it heat up good on the dyno. Shut it down and let it cool for a bit.

Then try to kill that thing. My liter motors made peak up around 12,500 to 13,000rpms. Over rev’d to about 14,2. Only ever had one crank break on me on a track. Best save of my life...except for that time I called my wife the wrong name. LOL

I'm thinking about buying a ktm rc390 and trying some track days. Been racing cars forever and wanna try a bike on the track. I'm super novice tho, I've ridden dirtbikes and bikes on the street for years but never on a track. They have a pretty solid novice program at Daytona from what I hear.
