Just what the title asks. What should I know about doing Food Service / Berverage delivery in Los Angeles area?

Was thinking about applying for Side Loading Beer delivery type job
    but
    havent done anything yet,

Still doing OTR now but thinking about quitting?

What's the typical per hour rate?
    What Company's are good?
    What companys should i avoid?
Send messages if you dont want to be so public.

    What should i expect??

    thanks in advance

I can't speak for what's good in your area because I'm about 3000 miles away but just remember if you go beer that a keg weighs 170lbs lol.

Los Angeles is a big area. You close enough to Riverside to apply at McLane?

I work for the Tracy DC, but I work out of Fresno. I hear they have their stuff together pretty well in Riverside, though I've never run any routes for them.

So I don't know if they currently have anything posted but any good sized for service dc is almost always hiring. Depending on how badly they want drivers it can range from experienced food drivers only to having openings in the driver academy for people with no experience or even no cdl. If you don't have experience getting in through a job in the warehouse or as a driver helper isn't a bad way to go.
