Everyone understands turning the load. Just don’t get pushed into doing something that is not worth the risk.
Better to be on the cautionary side than the ditch. Make sure you have food and beverages with you. Watch your fuel levels. Your going to have a small window across Nebraska and Wyoming. Expect snow west of Rock Springs, into Utah.

I left Dallas at 12:45...I arrived here in 3 Rivers (S of San Antonio) at 9:15. 8 1/2hrs to drive 341mi with a 20min fuel stop. Holiday traffic can diaf.
