What if it Snows?

It has successfully snowed in the communist state. Officialy my first snow of the year , love it.

 

Well made it over Donner last night finally. Then some super trucker jackknifes in the left lane his trailer coming right towards me. I had seen him tailgating and gave him plenty of room. So after he gets stopped around the DA I go. It seemed like every 10 miles they had us going down a get off ramp and back on because of a wreck. But lived and now parked at home. Supposed to head back over to Idaho today. Yeah not happening see them after Thanksgiving

 

Yep see it every year. Though never as quick as this. Seriously dry barely a cloud then 1 hour later deep snow. Fun times

Im sure that less tham 5 miles away there is a fed ex in his natural habitat (the ditch) lol

 

Got home yesterday before the storm hit in NorCal. Monday afternoon the wind and dust across I-40 was a ball buster. Tehachapi pass was like a wind tunnel and I limped along the shoulder until I got to Love's for the night. Of course I had a very light load in the box. Trucks were pulled over everywhere. Thought I was going to blow over while parked.

 

I just looked at the traffic cam eastbound 80 at Applegate. Looks like they've got it shut down. You made it through just in time. They're saying up to 3 feet fell last night over the pass. Glad I'm home.

 

I been at the loves in tehachapi since monday . wind was crazy wasnt it??

 

Not sure why, but it seems amazing the number of trucks that get turned around because they have no equipment.
Once you commit to going over the pass, your going, better have the hours, fuel and equipment.

Have seen a number of times, where you head out of Sacto or Reno, with nice weather, get up top and its a full on blizzard.
