    Hello everyone.
So I picked up a brand new Wilson trailer and I cannot dim/or flash marker lights on it using the button on a steering wheel on my truck (Volvo). They do dim/flash on a truck, but nothing happens on a trailer. Worked just fine on every other trailer I had before.
    What could be the reason?

One wire feeds the clearance lights, the other is marker lights or something. It's possible that they wired the whole trailer to be on one wire, which happens to be the one that isn't linked to the switch. Should be the brown and black wires on a 7 round plug.

Most likely a jump wire between the black and brown wires like @loudtom stated, probably right where the wires attach to the back of the female plug on the trailer.

Means that I will not be able to fix it?
It’s a Grote wiring on the trailer.
I would think it should be standardized.
Or, ok I see. So maybe I could swap those cables on a 7-round plug than...

Well swapping on the male (pigtail) won't help. If you remove the receptacle on the trailer you will likely find a jump wire between the brown and black. Should be able to just remove the jump wire.

Edit to add: it will be the wires on either side of the bigger top wire which is the ground.
