I'm in owasso, OK. Looks like I'll be heading over to Joplin, MO to 4 states to get a headache rack put on Are the enclosed ones really worth the extra money? Open ones are running like 1200-1800. While the enclosed ones are 3k-5k. I mean they look nice. Anyone had any experience with both and why you like one vs the other?

I think I saw the cheapest was around 2500? But my point is they're double the cost. Is it worth the money?

Ive always ran closed type boxes with the 3 doors , now im running an open one. Like the open one better so far. Easy access to chains and gear , only downside to it is its all exposed to the elements but if u keep ur binders rolled shut it will be ok. The enclosed boxes are a PITA to get gear in and out of . the doors are always in the frickin way but the upside is that u can put more stuff in it like a winch bar and i had a height pole and pole for fishing straps thru middle of freight. Guess it comes down to personal preference . either way just make sure u drill a small hole in each corner of box and maybe even in middle to help water drain out to keep from rusting everything out

Enclosed all the way. Got mine used full of tools for $2k. I put some custom shelf’s in it. I like I can not only keep my chains and binders but also, straps, ratchets, edge protection, coil racks, bungies and even my generator out of the elements. I added the box on top that I keep my blankets, plastic tarps and ladder. That's a hell of a deal!! I like those 4 box ones with the one on top. New those are running around 4k. If I go with an enclosed itll be like that. Hold on I'll screen shot the enclosed ones I like

I had mine built, I don’t keep chains in it but you could. I built 3 drawers on one side along with a tool box, the left box has a drawer, spray holders and a tarp strap holder and a plastic box full of crap. (No picture)
