Drive-a-Mack is exactly right! If they are in a state like Florida, they are licensed by the state DMV....the last place a dealer wants to hear from. As a used car dealer I was always worried about complaints from customers. Thats why I never bent the rules or did any questionable dealings with customers. What I would suggest is to find out the local DMV office and if you don't have your check back in 10 days call the local office and find out who the compliance officer is for that brokers area and make a complaint. You'll have your money back in a matter of days.

I wouldn't mind running to NC as I have family around Greensboro. Hell, I would love to live there, but there are no jobs! Hopefully, after getting all my endorsements, it may open some new doors; we'll see!
As for the logs, I wouldn't consider that "cheating" per se....Perhaps "Maximizing efficiency" or something like that! If I were at a live load and it took 5 hours to load, I would just show myself as arriving later in the day, getting loaded in an hour, and rolling. Come on now, everyone does that, right?
I am starting to become more aggressive (or agitating) to these companies. Either hire or don't; but let me know so I can move on! The hiring process takes soooooooooo long!!!! -

That's a great story. I live in Virginia Beach but was born and raised in Soprano land. I can smell a rat a mile away. If you would like someone to go with you to pay old Max a visit let me know. I'll try to get a load there and meet you, we could have some fun. I still have my "Jersey accent". I'm 6'2" and 250 or so. Maybe we can even get double your money back.
JohnnyScooterDawg Thanks this. -
hahahahahaa 'da boyz are back in town!!!! heheheheheheheh
<still laughing> ok, I'll let you know..... I am 6'2" 280 so I am sure we would probably get someone's attention hahahahahahahaha
Hopefully it won't come to that, but ya never know....... Like I said earlier, confidence is pretty high that I'll get the check.
Nice to know you're out there.... -
Thanks for the input! -

Met this little guy at a truck stop. He was actually sitting upright in the truck, leaned back against the seat with his front paws hanging freely in the air.
And the facial expression pretty much says it all....Attached Files:

What's the latest, my friend? Did you ever make it out of Grand Forks? Any word on Plan B? Are you in the pokey for manslaughter?

"Maximizing efficiency"If it looks good on paper...........
What DOT doesn't know, wont hurt them............
Keep in mind that ALL paper logs are soon to go away...
Congress is pushing for ALL electronic logs within the next few years...
And that means EVERY truck that a CDL is required to drive will be on the qualcom system......Even straight trucks...
Some companies wont be able to afford putting the Qualcom in their whole fleet... -
