I am just entering the trucking indusrty with absolutely no clue! I have no experience with trucking, I dont know any truckers, never even been in a truck!! Crazy? Maybe, but I decided I needed a change. I am a female in my mid 4os and have always worked in an office, so I thought I would change it up and take my office on the road!! I am looking for any advice out there. What are some good trucking companies, what a typical day/night is like, how does a person shower, eat and the all important potty breaks??
Thank You!!

Drive and never stop except to load or unload. I have a capacitive discharge with a switch on my ear piece. Every time I nod out a bit ZAP ZAP ZAP on a tender body part. . . . instantly awake.
Shower . . . usually rains once a week...
food... free fresh roadkill always available
potty break lots of depends or just be odoriferous.
IT IS ALL REALLY FUN! ! ! ! -
You wanted a change??? Well, you're gonna get it...
Showers are $9 (on average) or free with 50 gallons of fuel at truckstops...don't forget you're flip flops.
Potty breaks are taken at rest areas or truckstops under ideal circumstances...at other times, well...you do what you have to.
Typical nights and days...they are long (often 18-20 hours in reality)
Good companies (for a female)...I'd recommend Schneider if they are hiring. -
US Express has the largest female fleet. Probably some good reason for it. Oh yeah, automatics tops the list.

Buy a very large professionally trained attack dog. And pay the pet deposit.

Yes...I didn't think about that, they do have a lot of females...decent company too from what I've seen. -
anyone try the pilot "secret driver" program or what ever it is? you can get up to 4000 points a month (4 showers)

Free coffee...free showers every month.
I did manage 2 free dinners out of TA this month though -
