Dumb question ... what happens if you DO walk away (like say your wife gets sick and you have to care for her, or say you just plain realize you are totally getting screwed and decide to go work at Burger King)? Do they fine you, kick your ###, or what?

You are still obligated to pay for the lease if you work for the company. The company's do not care what your family situation is. They care about tow things: making money and the lease payments.

Anyone know ... with Prime, they say they like you to keep your idling down and your mpg up (even for lease drivers), but what happens if you go over their limit?
Also I was curious (also with Prime) what if your truck is just past the warranty and the friggin engine blows up? -
As a former Prime lesee I will jump in here..You asked a few really good questions. As for the idling and MPG up if you don't do it then really you lose. More MPG is MORE in your pocket. The trucks are equipped with APU's so idling really should not be an issue. When I left 2 months ago, you would get a reminder weekly about MPG. No biggie..
Engine blows 1 day out of warranty and sorry Charlie..They will front the money and help with a loaner I believe but it will be on you.
Now to the eye opener..This part is still just "hear say" and the plays have NOT been fully played yet. When it all becomes "reality" I will then come back on here and let everyone know. Anyway here goes. My truck was turned in after I lost my medical card. Lease was not due to be up until 12-09. My FM as well as recruiting (prehire) told me this was a "walk away" lease. I was told anything I owed if I walked away would not be persued. They said ONLY if you return will they collect. Now last week when I spoke to leasing dept. I asked again and was told they do now have in place a collections dept and they are persuing the monies owed Again, only heresay at this point. I have NOT been contacted by them so I am in wait and see mode. -
