check OOIDA and FMCSA then ask q's. but this should answer most of your questions.

You don't need a tandem axle tractor to pull any fifth wheel made. A single axle will do it better and cheaper. One issue will be safety. You do not have enough weight to provide proper braking and handling. Even on a single axle you will likely need to lighten the suspension .

Owner ops out, please advise me on JCT. I have owned my truck for five years now working out of Werner. I make good money here, just tired of all the splits and swaps for every load. I never seem to run a load to the end. Getting away from a computer log book would be nice too. Does Jct run drivers enough to make money and still be family oriented? Does JCT get you home when you want.

Thinking of buying a truck, how's O/O with Watkins Shepard?
-
If any one could answer this would be great. What type of payments does a O/O have to pay to become and O/O.
From what i heard is IFTA, plates, fuel, and maintenance. What type of vehicle insurance and what is the average price O/O's have to pay. Also how does workers comp work and price? How does fuel tax work? What claims can we put on our taxes for example i heard O/O can put $50 a day for expenses similar to Per Diem. I've heard of Laws Revenue and how does that work?
Thank you

I want to be a o/o so how much money do I need ?

This depends. Do you want to be an O/O leased on to a company, with or without a trailer, or you want to be an O/O with your own authority?
