Keep in mind if you run a truck as a team you are putting miles on it quicker. So you need to be paying on it the same way.You cant run a truck as a team and pay for it like your putting solo miles on it. Good Luck.

I have worked for Hill Brothers(company driver), Q carriers(lease), Prime(lease). Out of all the ones I worked at that had lease purchase, I say Hill bros had the best deal. When I was at Hill they had a better truck selection, but they never told the drivers how to run those truck. Although I will never do another lease, I say Hill is worth a look at. I heard of another place called Starport Transport. It is like a dealership, they have companies you can lease to. If you qualify for the companies, you can buy the truck. They got nothing but Kenworths with studio sleepers. They lease to Megatrux and Christenson, that is the only two I know of, they have more. Their site is spleasindotcom. I work for a company down in NC now with 150 trucks,I get to drive a w900 for free. I have no interest in buying sombodies truck for them. If i were you I would think hard before I went that route. I been there, you will not win. You will make money for your first 90 days, then eat bolagna for the rest of the time. It aint worth it. If you really want to be a owner op,buy you a used truck, and stay a company driver until it is paid for. During that time you can put all the work you need in that truck. Yea the paint may fade while it is sitting, but you can always get new paint.

Anyone know anything about Megatrux out of SCal? I called them, seems like lots of miles avail, but they just lowered the pay for solos to .875 from .90. Teams stay at .90. Also FSC to loaded miles only, and first 100 dh miles are free. Ugh. Can anyone confirm that the miles are there with Megatrux?

Latefreight, boy that sounded good what you said about leasing directly from a separate company onto Megatrux, for example. Until I got to their website, that is. 07 Kenworth is $875/wk, and an 08 is $895. Plus $100/wk maintenance, and $75 for their APU, i guess. Nothing like $1000+/wk payments before the diesel and taxes! 3000 miles/wk running nets you $750-950, by THEIR calculation.

After overpaying like this for 5 years, you then have the privilege of buying it out for $1. If both you and the truck last that long. Let's see, as a company driver at .36 mile, I can take home $1080/wk no questions asked. And .36 is no great shakes. Plus benes. There. I 've just convinced myself. (as if I hadn't already)...

But if you can buy your own truck and lease on to Megatrux, I have a feeling the money would be there. Megatrux drivers, confirm or deny please!!!!
