Another question,
can I tow cargo van load if I rent cargo box trailer? My friends told me his related makes around $1-1.25 per mile with cargo van expediting. I searched most of cargo van can only load max. 4000lbs and there are many rental cargo box trailer similar payload capacity. If I rent one, can I tow cargo van load?
Otherwise, I was reading so many titles and documents about tow capacity and most of them wrote as same manufacturer companies documents. Ford suggest heavy duty tow package for f150 to tow full capacity. That’s mean, 10000lbs aren’t impossible to tow as someone said on above sedan body etc. (according to ford)
I can understand that it might spend pickup life faster than regular use condition but that’s not mean completely wrong or impossible, it is better to consider manufacturers company documents, I respect how you are doing hard job, this isn’t engineering or something else to given wrong information to someone doesn’t has experience.

Well go hook onto 10,000lbs and tell us how it goes. My comments are based 100% on my own personal experiences.
I've towed about 9k lbs with a 1500HD Silverado (a far more suitable truck for towing than your F150). I don't think your F150 is close to being capable of 10,000 lbs despite what Ford says. Those numbers are inflated for bragging rights IMO. I'd shoot for a more realistic number of about 7,000lbs total trailer weight.Upinsmoke Thanks this. -
I guess this is depending on engine. Some pickups has 2.5l with V4 some has 4.6l with V6 or V8. I am talking about 5.4l v8 engine. If you have 2.5l v4 on silverado that couldn’t enough 7000lbs.
Moreover. Ram3500 and f350 has mostly 5.4l or 6.3 or 6.7l with V8 engine and tow package that makes tow capacity more than 10000lbs.
I think manufacturing companies would have better knowledge about their product instead of experiences otherwise you can claim them.Upinsmoke Thanks this. -

1500HD Silverado has a 6.0L V8, 4L80E transmission, 4.10 gears and 3/4 ton brakes. Even the frame is beefier than a standard 1500. 3/4 ton spring packs. Even the front ball joints share the same part number as the 2500's. Essentially from what I've seen, its a 3/4 ton Silverado with a half ton radiator. Rear axle housings are the same but they put semi-floating axles in the rear instead of the full floating the true 2500's have.
This truck is twice the work truck your F150 could ever hope to be. I think you are going to be in for a VERY rude awakening when you try and get 10k lbs moving.Upinsmoke, Ruthless, spyder7723 and 2 others Thank this. -
Would you tow 10k with a Toyota T100??? I ask this because the rear axles in both vehicles are essentially the same. Yes the F150 is SLIGHTLY beefier... But not much. I wouldnt tow 10k on a daily basis, or long distance without at least an F450 with a 5th wheel hitch.

Chevrolet Silverado 1500HD Model Details
I'm not offended or upset. I'm just saying the numbers they throw out there aren't accurate. I was almost 1,500 lbs under the towing capacity and I felt I was overworking the truck. I really don't believe your truck will survive more than a few months lugging 10,000 lbs around.
