Every time you do a "favor" for dispatch, you end up getting boned.

Yea, 78 hours for the week. One crappy thing here is if you don't use your vacation you lose it so right now everyone is using up vacation they didn't use. I'm the delivery guy/order builder/yard jockey/forklift driver all in one for now until we get back to normal staffing levels.

I don't know if anyone else here ever runs a yard dog but I have a important safety message. I had never thought about this until last night. I step out the back door, hook up air lines and when I go back to get in the truck my foot was tangled in the lines. Not a big deal because I was going back in the cab but had I spun around and went for the steps without noticing it that could have been ugly. Stay safe out there, watch where you step.

I was waiting for that.....and deserved it lol. It had me thinking this, going over backwards off the side of that thing probably wouldn't have ended well.

I’ve had the same thing happen. From that point on, I made a conscious effort to always make connecting air lines the last thing I do before I sent air to the trailer to begin pulling it, and disconnecting the absolute first thing I do when getting out of the seat to drop the trailer.
