This tirade is going to be for those that maybe don't have a lot of experience with open deck freight. Just a heads up. Over the years I have hauled quite a few partials, and I am not a guru on the subject. I've been looking for a load all week, and if I wanted to haul for a $1.35 or 40, I could stay busy all day long. That isn't happening. Back to partials, CHR has been doing this for a good while, and now others as well. Taking up 35 or 40 feet of deck space and trying to move it as a partial. Don't fall into that trap! I saw one on the board today from King of Freight loading in Garland Tx going to Seattle taking up 30 feet paying $1700 on 2200 miles. BS! That's a third of what it's worth for me to haul it. I'm trying to keep this short, and there is more I could add, but I don't want to get confused with someone else on this site. If you have the time, partials are good way to go. A pain but it could be a good pain.

Wow! With all the go fast coming through the hood, big tires, and low ride... I didn't even realize it was a GTO at first! Must be a 1970?

Yeah... busy is probably an understatement! I'm down to 45 days out for stuff now, so I'm starting to see a light flickering at the end of the tunnel, sucker keeps going out though!

Spending too much time with broke down cnc bandsaws and welding robots... Makes me appreciate time behind the wheel all alone! :)

@1951 ford I went with my daughter last week to get a dog crate from an eBay seller. In the driveway was this year GTO. Looked like a brand new paint job (only street lights). Super light cranberry red w/ fleck. It was gorgeous them I go closer. All 4 tires completely flat. So sad to let something like that sit

Have you ever known a Lowlife?

In and out of jail, sister is a streetwalker on crack, got kids from 3 different women, girlfriend/wife taking beef injections from his brothers, dad, cousins, best friend.
You and Lowlife sit down and compare notes because he can’t figure out why everything that comes his way is garbage. The thing is, whenever he gets to choose his path, he chooses the Low Road.

In our line of work, he’s the one that puts on 2 points of securement instead of the required 4. He does the half arse crappy tarp job. He’s deadheading with his oversized banners on. His oversized banner is upside down. He doesn’t read his permit. He doesn’t measure his load. He has bad habits across the board, but he wants good things to happen. He will pull an oversized piece for a partial rate because, “a man’s gotta eat.”

If you’re eating out of the toilet, do not complain about the smell.
