The above mentioned hero would be the former Marine you referred to as an Ex Marine.

We know nothing of this guy.....many claim to be Former Marines, I was not defending him, I assure you.

It's amazing how one can come into this forum with bad spelling and try to come off as some powerful insulter, only to wind up looking like a very silly person.

What exactly happened? The bulk of your complaint is that you were asked to run illegal. If that is the case, and as an experienced driver, you should certainly know how to address that issue if and when it comes up.

Who's arguing? I merely pointed out that what you offered is kinda going a little overboard, and it doesn't make a lotta sense.

You don't need to authorize any changes made to your posts. You used a phrase that is not welcome in the public sections of the forums, and I cleaned it up to express the same thing you offered. Rather than to make a big deal over it, I took care of it discreetly and without fanfare.

    Ah...on that we agree.

In some states, ANY falsification is a felony act, and that will usually only be sought in a case where a serious accident occured. But here's the thing...who can MAKE anyone falsify an entry? No one. There isn't a dispatcher or a company on the face of this earth that can MAKE me falsify a logbook entry.

It's real simple. You just say...no. You put the ball in that game, right back in their court to play with.

Now I'm going to argue with you. I know of no driver alive or dead, that has EVER received a fine that high. The highest fine I have EVER read, that was given to a driver, was $5,000, and that was levied in a case where the driver was involved in an extremely serious accident where five people died.

Companies receive fines in that range, and they are only assessed in the most outrageous cases of failing to manage and verify entries made in logs.

I take it from that response, that you feel that I was supporting illegal logging. I most certainly do not. But you know the difference between you and I? I wouldn't have applied for a job at Knight Transportation. One look at their safety numbers would have told me all I needed to know about them.

I suppose if you are that thin skinned, that you will not address the content of what you offer, and accept a little criticism, then no one can stop you.

    What a shame.

Crap. I looked back a the post. It DOES say that. What happened there is that apparently HE corrected his post at one time, and when I later edited the post for the words that I bracketed in red, the same reason for editing was left. I'm going to have to watch out for this in the future. I only edited the bracketed phrase in red.

I do not edit posts for spelling errors, nor would I ever point out to someone that they do not spell words well. I find it rude for someone to do that.
