We whom play railroad in miniature (1/8th scale) call it "spliffing the switch). I did wonder why there were only a few cars on the ground.

Well good night all. Time for me to get some warped sleep. I may try to sleep, yet meds and cellulitis wont go away ober night. It is a 10 day ordeal. sigh
Laughter is the best medicine. So a few more memes.

@Troy_ This is my type of railroad knowledge. Built it in 1984. Now I am going to build another one that I can drive down the road.

So... now with this ELD crap, I can't drive around a parking lot without being on driving or on duty??
And I have to enter what I am doing all the time...?? :angry1:
And if I take time backing.. as I always do, I will be asked if I want to switch my status and put on ON duty...?? :angry4:
And I will be constantly bothered by questions about what I am doing..? :angry8:
And every time I go ON Yard mode will have to type a reason??
And I can no longer just go off duty when I stop driving? Will have to go on rest break instead.. and then answer Yes or No if I want to take the break....?? :angry3: Lots of more steps to accomplish one thing... Maybe to make sure nobody "abuses" the off duty button in traffic jams and stuff like that... :biggrin_1square1:
So.. every time I want to go OFF duty will have to sign out or PC and type reason...?? :angry2:
And there's no sound warning about upcoming changes of status of duty...? :angry1:
WTF!!! I better be payed by the freakin hr... Will there be any time to drive the freakin truck after all this BS?? :angry6:

And what happened with the recap of hrs...? Are they still visible? Can one find how many hrs they worked and drove on the last 7 days?
All this crap pssss me off so much... :angry6: drivers who work for a company and are paid by the mile are screwed with this system... this is becoming awful.. a prisoner working for less and less money with no life, no freedom, no social life, no good quality life... and A LOT of stress... :biggrin_2552:

It puts you on driving time on anything over 5 MPH.
Which is to say. Idle in 2nd gear

5 miles... that used to be before I left the US.... I could drive "forever" at 5 mph and it would be ok...
Now it's 4 mph.... and I believe that if one keeps driving at 4 mph for 5 mins, it will ask if you want to change status of duty... and type annotation what you are doing... no sound warning though...
I think I'll lose my temper very quickly with this crap...

I always thought a AOBDRLMNOP was reasonable enough.
    3 things I have learned.
    1. 5mph is really, really slow, and any driver holding up the show trying to cheat the system should have a foot planted up his ###.
    2. A 30 min break feels like 2 hours.
    3. Doesn't effect long haul operations much, but will jack up short haul drop and hook.

Yes sir... That's correct... I'm trying to find something else... cause trucking this way will be no longer enjoyable for me... and I hate doing something I don't enjoy.... I will succeed....

    You shall.
    And maybe not.
Trucking gets under your skin like opium.
    But, maybe you shall.
    Good luck and Merry Christmas

If traffic jam was causing folks to go 5 mph and less for miles and miles... one could take their 30 min break right there or even more...
